Anthony Collins Solicitors has appointed housing specialist Thomas Starkey as a partner as part of its effort to boost its presence in the North West.
Mr Starkey, who will work from the firm's Manchester office, was recruited to help lead the housing practice and grow the property team.
Before moving, Mr Starkey was a partner in Weightmans' real estate team, where he specialised in supporting social housing providers, charities and local authorities.
He has more than 15 years' experience, with expertise in managing complex property matters, spanning site assembly, large scale developments and regeneration schemes.
In a statement, Mr Starkey said the firm's investment in its Manchester office was a clear statement of intent and said he was excited to help grow Anthony Collins' property division and expand its reach across the North West and nationally.
Jonathan Cox, head of Anthony Collins Solicitors' Manchester office, said the appointment represents a "key step on ACS' growth journey in the North West".
The firm plans on pursuing further growth and recruitment in the region, according to Mr Cox.
He added: "Tom joins the firm with a wealth of expertise and an ambition to expand our housing practice. His experience managing complex property matters will be invaluable to ACS and our client partners that count on us to bring forward innovative legal solutions that leave a positive impact on their communities and wider society."
